Anne L. Rancilio

Welcome!

Hello!
I'm Anne! I am a 200-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance and a Reiki Master. I enjoy being a constant student and learning many different styles of yoga from many instructors. I have had additional training in Restorative, Yin, Qi-yoga, Yoga Nidra, Trauma-Informed Yoga, and an Ashtanga weekend with Kino McGregor. I love to bring other health and wellness concepts into my yoga classes. Other trainings I have had included Pranayama, Ayurvedic Nutrition, Thai Yoga Massage Techniques, and Healing Sound Frequency workshops. I am currently undergoing training for my 500-Hour RYT with a focus on anatomy.
My Story
As my children became older and more independent, I found myself looking for something to add to my life that was just for me. I wanted something that would focus on my own personal needs and well-being and help with managing stress levels. I had always loved yoga and decided to take yoga teacher training to deepen my practice. At first, being a yoga teacher was not on my mind, but once I taught a couple of classes as part of my training, I knew that was the path for me. My yoga teacher training was exactly what I needed to push me out of my comfort zone and find the confidence I needed. I have found so much peace and healing, both on and off the mat, through yoga, Reiki, meditation, and mindfulness, and I love sharing these gifts with others.
I completed my 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training in February 2021 and began teaching yoga as a private instructor in September 2021. I joined a yoga studio in June 2022 in addition to private instruction. I teach many different yoga classes at Wild Flower Yoga and Pilates in Richmond, MI. I teach Vinyasa, Vin Yin, Slow Flow, Slow Burn, Qi-Yoga, Yin, Restorative, Yoga Nidra, and Beginner. I continue to work as a private instructor for individuals looking for one-on-one practice and for small groups. Group practices also include yoga at businesses, schools, and with athletic teams.
Outside of yoga, I am the wife to an incredibly supportive husband and a mother to amazing adult men. We have an Eclectus parrot, who entertains us daily with his unique personality. As our nest began to empty, we decided to add a toy poodle to our family. He keeps us on our toes with his energy. My husband and I enjoy visiting the many craft breweries in our state, and I also like sampling craft ciders. I believe there is an art in creating a product that stands out from the others, and we love to share it when we find one. We have often found the best places to be very small, unknown spots! I also love being out in nature, taking my dog for walks, and spending time with friends.

“Yoga takes you into the present moment, the only place where life exists.”
